Past Life and Future Life

Past Life and Future Life Mind - intellect, life's central processing unit (CPU)
Consciousness -  memories and information

Past Life and Future Life Analysis:

Some suggest that 'life is magical'. Others feel that life is intelligent. Another group thinks life was sent by an entity. I say that life is both magical and intelligent; and it is possibly sent to earth by itself and not by an 'unknown' entity. No one knows for sure of the latter. However, all would agree on the first two.

Question:
To analyze the topic together, let me present a simple question. If there is one life to live, should we all have the same intellect? Meaning, if all lives begin at zero knowledge, should we all be learning everything at the same rate given the same mother, father, neighbor, village, town, society, school, and etc... However, we see that every life has different intellect and that each learns at a different rate; even the twins born in the same household do not end at the same knowledge. People who live in the same house, same town, same village disagree on many topics even though the goal is the same. WHY? hints: intellect and knowledge

My opinion is that all lives are born with different levels of memories and information and not at zero knowledge as mentioned in previous paragraph. We learn and retain information at different rate based on our consciousness - citta in Pali language. If this is so, where did the intellect and knowledge come from the moment an infant is born? Some people excel in certain subject(s) faster than their peers as they age. Others recall things they have never encountered in this lifetime. And a small group claim they can see the unseen or the future. Are they nuts? crazy? or just want attention? Unless we are ignorant ourselves, we should not claim that they are nuts, crazy, or want attention. There might just be some truth to what they say. We are intelligent enough to be open minded to the things people say. However, we cannot accept nor can we reject to what they say without an investigation.

My Personal Opinion
Mind, or consciousness, does not die like the physical body does. It continues to exist through time and space in the form of energy. How is it possible? Well, mind and consciousness consist of small particles - unseen to a naked eye. Similar to a household electrical wire. We don't see it is alive; but we can feel it is hot. We can feel the current running from end to end and back to its source. Reincarnation Evidence: Stevenson's Research, Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/. When the intellect and consciousness are not in the seen form, they express themselves through other means - some call them spirits, ghosts, or gods. When they are incarnated in the body, they bring back all the past intellect and knowledge. They continue their lives from the past. This is what makes each of the living forms unique. Whether we are born as a dog, a cat, a plant, or a human, we retain our intellect and memories.

Wait, you were about to ask why do we have to take care of our young children if they had brought back their past memories? They need our care because they need to learn our language and culture. How I understand it, they could be from another country or world in the past. Once their thinking is prevalent, we will begin to see the change in their behavior. I am sure some of you may have experienced this.

Now, if we accept that we came from the past using the above synopsis. It is easier for us to accept the future life. This is because tomorrow, next month, next year, next lifetime depends on current and past actions and experience. Simply put, if there wasn't yesterday, there would not be today; and therefore, there will not be tomorrow. The past, now, and future life are all linked together. In Buddhism, we call this Kamma in Pali language.

Synopsis and Scenarios:
Life is unfair and injustice. No matter what we do, it does not seem to go our way. Others seem to get whatever they wish. Some acquire things without effort. Why is that? A luck of a draw? A couple gets divorced after 15, 20, 25 years of living together. A close-knitted family going different directions in ideas. Once there was a love and now there is hate. A homeless won a lottery. A millionaire going broke. The rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer. And vice versa. A, seemed innocent, baby born with deficiencies, mute, deaf, blind, crippled. A lifetime criminal gets a second chance and is making a significant impact on society. A case against a priest of having molested at least four boys ("Nun Said She Saw Priest Molest Boy", Religion and Child Abuse News, http://religionandchildabuse.blogspot.com/). A school teacher sleeps with a 14 year old student ("Lafave is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student at least five times at her home, at school and in the back of her SUV.", Fox News, http://www.foxnews.com/). Synopsis, scenarios, and documents are endless.

We can now picture the scenes from these examples. Regardless of how knowledgeable some of us are about the good and evil, black and white, heaven and hell, the unavoidable circumstances must happen. Life continues, and conforms to KAMMA, from the past with or without realizing the end result. In Buddhism, we believe that their actions, or KAMMA, determine their future. The meaning not only is meant for this lifetime but also for the next day, month, year, and lifetime as well. For instance, if you kill a dog, the same scene will be repeated in the future life - maybe tomorrow, or maybe the next life. Only this time, you are the subject. If you do good in this life, you will take all the good deeds you have acquired with you to the future life. The term future life means the next breath on up.

In conclusion, we should not accept nor should we reject the concept of past-life or future-life. Rather, all of us should do our own research on the topic. After all, the action we make at this moment determines our future. In my opinion, those who understand the concept fare well with their life. This is because you are now grounded with KAMMA, your own actions. Perhaps something is missing in your life; or perhaps you are going through hardships. After all the readings, take an insight meditation - specifically vipassana meditation. Why meditation? hints: when you are quiet and at peace, you see things clearer; you just might be able to travel through time and space with your intellect and knowledge.

KAMMA Means Action

KAMMA Means Action The word Kamma (pali) or Karma (sanskrit) comes from an ancient indian language. This term was used in Northern India around 560 BC during the Buddha's time; and it usually is inscribed in religious texts.

Today, the term is comparable to the phrase 'Cause And Effect' which is commonly used in scientific writing or 'Golden Rules' which is used in religious conversation. The south easterners use this term to refer to 'Good Actions Produce Good Results' and vice versa.

Although the word KAMMA has nothing to do with religion other than referring to ACTION, people usually attach this word in conversation to remind them to do good. People are fortunate to have such a word to help guide them to the path of happiness when nothing else seems to work.

To truly understand everything about ourselves, our homes, our cities, countries, and our world is to reflect on, first, our past KAMMA. In my previous blog, I mentioned the words 'PRESENT' and 'NOW' which is the result of this past KAMMA. The future then will be the result of what is currently (PRESESNT, NOW) being developed. Good or bad, thou shall receive.

Nothing in this world and other worlds is coincidental. Everything which has happened or will happen can be explained. The difficult part is to understand its outcome. We processes of our thinking are not the same. Therefore, some of us will perceive results differently.

I am the owner of my own actions. Good or bad, Soon I shall receive.

Understanding The Present And The 'NOW'

Understanding The Present And The 'NOW' Memories play a major role in everything that we see, feel, create, and destroy. Without these memories, the thinking would be impossible. Regardless of what time of day, the unattentive consciousness continues to create and destroy new events based on the stored memories. Like ocean waves, rise and fall. The waves themselves don't just rise without some kind of force that had begun. Simply put, nothing can be created without some kind of memories or force.

Top Brain & Energy Supplement

I don't know why anyone would want to know about the present. Perhaps for personal reasons or perhaps for reasons of others. Or perhaps we just need to know how we got here - no magic involved. My reason is because the 'Present' is too powerful. So powerful that it magically creates the past and the future instantaneously. This creation, Kamma, is very important to the past and the future. Whether it is your creation, my creation, or anyone's creation, it affects us all - sooner or later. This is enough reason to bring us to contemplating on the Present, the Here, and the Now.

When trying to understand the Present or the Now, we realistically and truthfully analyze these memories with compassion in mind. To most of us, it will bring back the memories from yesterday, others from yesteryear, and for some from childhood. And still, a small group will have memories from a thousand or even a couple of thousand years past. We understand the Present based on our past memories. If we have a large collection of these memories, perhaps our understanding of the Present is clearer than those who only have a few to analyze. Once we understand the Present, it is up to us to shape the future.

If reincarnation is real, the future will belong to us. But if reincarnation is not real, the future will still belong to us and to our children and their children.

If heaven is real, doing good to others will eventually send us to the heaven. But if heaven is not real, doing good to others will still eventually send us to a peaceful state of mind in this life.

Is Reality Subjective or Objective?

Is Reality Subjective or Objective This is a question to the mind itself; because Mind has a mind of its own. If it truly has a mind of its own, then could it be both?

Power of Conversation

If Reality is subjective, it must be able to think and analyze without superiority. Perhaps Mind is superior to Reality. Reality is really whatever Mind wants it to be. Mind reasons through the use of its consciousness (memories) or Viññāṇa in Pali language - a language in the Buddha's time. All lives are dictated by their minds. Everything that we see and feel were created by the Mind. Therefore, Reality is subjective to only the Mind itself.

It is also questionable to think if Reality is objective. We don't really know if Reality has any goal to attain. Perhaps it does but then again; perhaps it does not. However, if we think lives were created by the Mind then lives are tentatively the objects of the Mind; are we all the objects of some kind of force? In this sense, Reality is, too, objective to the Mind and has a purpose of being whatever the Mind wants it to be. Using any known object that is created by any life, we can see that these objects have purpose and dictated by the Mind itself.

I mentioned the word 'tentatively' earlier in this paragraph due to the fact that all visible (and some invisible) forms or objects are temporarily. They will expire in time. This is not the case with Mind. Mind and Consciousness live on forever. You have heard previous life, present life, and next life.

There is no conclusive evidence to think that Reality is subjective or objective. Reality is whatever Mind wants it to be - either objective or subjective or both.

Perception - What is?

Perception - What is? Perception: An understanding, recognition, insight, or intuition from our senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch)

How does one come to understand anything? Life's perception is based solely on its learned knowledge, experiences, and feelings (the five senses). Knowledge, experiences, and feelings are unique to each and every life. By the way, plants and trees do have this knowledge. Otherwise, they would not know when to grow or when to stay dormant.

1. The learned knowledge are acquired through various sources such reading, writing, and thinking. 2. Experiences are acquired through interactions with reading, friends, teachers, and thinking - including the surrounding environment. 3. Feelings are acquired from 1 and 2, knowledge and experience. Perception is, therefore, based on these three items and perhaps more..

To simplify the concept of perception is to come up an easy to understand equation (e.g. mind + consciousness + recept (already formed idea)  + precept (society and culture) + miscellaneous (current senses) = perception). This, in my view, is how one perceives things. It is because of these variables that we come to understand things differently; and that we are unique in our own right.

With that said, it is best not to argue with your colleagues. If they think that they are right, it does not really make we are wrong. We, both, could be right based on the above equation. It is best not to be too firm with one's belief but to be open to the possibilities that are out there. When we have this type of understanding, we can accept why our colleagues believe the way they do.

In short summary, perception is based on one's own learned knowledge, experiences, and feelings. Perception comes to exist from the followings criteria:

1. Mind - the Central Processing Unit of a living body
2. Consciousness - memories of the past (information attained)
3. Recept - recessive of the past perception or understanding (formed idea)
4. Precept - moral conduct or rules based on the society and culture (religion or cult)
5. Miscellaneous - an immediate influential source (friends, teachers, or present feeling)

This is my view on perception. It does not make me right or wrong. Likewise to the readers.

The Effect Caused by Action

The Effect Caused by Action A truly story. Although the story is about right and wrong, moral and immoral. It is connected to our consciousness and mind.

I challenge you to be calm. This is a YouTube video I made on 1/31/2021.

While working at the gymnasium, one of the three teenagers who were performing community work asked me if I knew martial arts. I guess the perception is that all Asians know martial arts. The dialogue went like this:

Young man: Mr. Jack, do you know martial arts?

I replied: I am against fighting. paused.. harming others is not a good way to live.

Young man: What if you have to defend yourself.

I replied. Why would you have to defend yourself? If you haven't put yourself in the situation.

Young man: What if you get mugged in the street?

I replied: Why would you get mugged? Unless you, somehow, have invited the intruder.

Young man: What if your car broke down and you had to walk to a gas station; and someone hurt you.

I replied: How often will your car break down?

The young man continued with more what-if questions. I, on the other hand, answered his questions with a simple question - to trigger his thought processor "mind".

Young man: What if you get robbed at the house?

I replied: Why would you want to live in the neighborhood where robbery is likely to occur? Robbery is likely to occur where security is insufficient; or the neighborhood is not suitable to live.

Finally the truth came out. The young man's mind was triggered with the memories that caused him to pose these 'what-if' questions.

Young man: What if you are stuck?

A thought came to my mind - I am pretty sure what he meant was he had done something bad in the past.

I replied: Well, if you are stuck, you cannot undo the past. It will remain with you forever. However, you can create different atmosphere around your past. For instance, if your memories are like an ugly hole formed in front of your house, no one would want to stop by and speak to you - your past is too ugly. But if you could decorate it with rocks and flowers making it more enticing for people to stop by, your life will change. You could start adding water to the hole so it looks more like a decorative pond. Your ugly hole will be covered with beauty. I am sure people will begin to stop by and talk to you. This is how you cover up your past - by becoming a better person and avoid doing bad things. We can relate rocks, flowers, and water to love, kind, and compassion. Keep in mind, the moment you stop taking care of these three items, your ugly side will begin to show up again.

Mind and consciousness do not just die. They forever exist. The memories of our actions continue to popup in the future that we call recollection. And we continue to live with either fond memories or bad memories.

I am not sure how the young man took what I shared my thoughts with him. But I do hope he would reflect on the information given to him.

The Actual Location of Our Memories

The Actual Location of Our Memories
I ask a friend a week ago: where are your memories?

She replied: in my head.

I, then, gave her a couple of statements and asked her another question: If you think all memories are stored in the head, how much memories have you stored in it since your birth? And, how come your head does not seem to get bigger? And, if a doctor cuts your head open, do you think he would find all these memories?

It is very common that we make statements based on our past experiences, stereotype - mostly without any logic. Maybe because we have heard it a thousand times before. It is not that we are incapable of analyzing the concept of memory. We, some of us, just don't like to take time to logically think through. Perhaps there is a logic behind this statement as well - don't take time to think.

In the last post, I mentioned that mind and consciousness do have physical bodies. But they are so small that we cannot see them. They are small atoms found in electricity. Within a living life, any life, there are electrically charged particles called mind or consciousness, in my view. This word, Mind, is the spirit of the living life. To confirm the last statement is to put your finger on a bare electrical cord with power turned on. If you get electrocuted, this confirms the statement. You must not use a plastic glove for the experiment though. Laugh aloud.

In my opinion, memories are not stored in the head as my friend had suggested. They are everywhere and referenced in consciousness itself. The actual place of a thought object is the actual location of that particular memory. If we say a house is located at 123 My Street. The memory is, therefore, also located at 123 My Street - not in the head. Another example, if we are 1000 miles away from this house, the memory is still at this location - 1000 miles away from the head. To prove this argument is to drive to this location and see if the house is there - don't drive to your head. Our conscious comprises 1. the stored reference in the consciousness to 2. the actual location when our senses are triggered (e.g. six senses are sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, and intuition). If the two are not equal, we question. Otherwise, the mind updates the reference in the consciousness.

I believe memories are stored everywhere provided that our senses can find its reference. Similar to a filing cabinet, a reference is the location in the folder; and the cabinet is the consciousness or the mind.

As always, before accepting or denying this notion, one should always logically analyze the subject matter. It is my opinion and yours could be different.

Mind and Consciousness Are Physical?

In earlier posts, I wrote that mind and consciousness do not have physical bodies. This is because I did not want to confuse the readers and due to the fact that these two are unknowable - just the concept. I wanted to connect memories to consciousness before delving into their physical world.

7 day releasing and letting go mindcamp (for relaxation)

We all know that nothing can exist without a physical living body. Mind and consciousness are no exception. They too must have bodies - living bodies. These bodies are so small to be seen by a human eye and extending through time and space. These tiny living bodies, called atom, are powered by an electrically charged and uncharged particles. However, with the right equipment, one can examine the way they dance around. This is similar how mobile phones send and receive messages.

Mind and consciousness communicate using these electrically charged and uncharged atoms. During communication, the transmission rate is so quick that a snap cannot be compared. For instance, when mind begins its process (thinking), images begin to form in an unknown location (all of us call it head) or perhaps these memories are everywhere. These images are memories which reside in consciousness. The transmission is so fast that there is no formula to detect it - other than the electrically charged/uncharged atoms like an MRI scan.

In conclusion, mind and consciousness are physical but they are so small to be seen by any life beings. They are scattered everywhere around the seen and unseen bodies - any BODY. They communicate through charged and uncharged atoms. With highly sophisticated instrument, we can detect them. An aura surrounding you - what do you think they are?

As always, readers are encouraged to investigate with open mind before concluding any subject matter.

The Continuation of The Past (Reincarnation) - Part 2

The concept of reincarnation isn't new. The ancients loved to explore and to learn about the unknown. They realized that lives are born based on their past consciousness or KAMMA. Every new life, any life, brings with it an inherited memories and KAMMA. Each an every one of them will grow and live their lives based on these memories. This is not predestination or predetermination due to the fact that action can be altered.

Mental Reprogramming System

How reincarnation works, no one really knows. But, my feeling is that mind enjoys to be recognized and enjoys expressing its feelings. The only way it could do this is to live in a physical body - any body. After a body dies, mind continues to live in a non-physical realm. If it has any attachments to the earthly world, it will try to zap into a new born based on its consciousness. If its previous life was an animal, it more than likely to return as an animal. However, if it had accumulated intelligent consciousness in the past life, it would be reborn as a human. My feeling is that animals and insects are rarely to be reborn as human. For instance, it took us at least a billion years to become who we are. Yes, we were NOT human then. Humans, too, will be reborn as human again; if and only if during their human life, they have accumulated a higher consciousness according to the Buddhist's teachings. In order to acquire higher consciousness, one must follow the five Buddhist's precepts.

Case Study:
1. A twin, born from one mother, raised the same way, fed the same food, lived in the same home. Did these two individuals have the same mind and consciousness? or are they different from each other?

2. An individual, born from un-educated parents who are negative about everything, excels in learning, is quick with positive thought, and surrounds himself/herself with intelligent people. Why?

3. Deja Vu: The term refers to having already experienced. Many of us have these feelings, having experienced before, but unsure of when and where. Perhaps, this is a flashback of unconscious mind - unconsciously trigger by the mind. In my opinion, memories do not get erased. They are compiled and compressed every millisecond.

4. It is possible that someone is able to foretell the future - psychic ability. People can't really foretell the future without some sort of information or past memories. However, given information about the foretelling individual and the consciousness of the teller, perhaps it is possible to predict the individual's future. Compared to a computer user, he knows by moving a mouse over a linking icon, he can click and predict what is to happen.

Reincarnation is perhaps the reason our world is what it is. Humans use these past memories to design their lives. If reincarnation is not real, all lives would be born with the same bases - beginning with zero memory. Case Study 1 would result in exact mind. Case Study 2 would result in the similar fashion as his/her parents. Case Study 3 'deja vu' would not occur. Or the word psychic would not even exist in Case Study 4.

Conclusion, I am not trying to convince readers to believe my writing. However, I encourage you to investigate this concept - reincarnation.

The Continuation of The Past (Reincarnation) - Part 1

Consciousness (memories) evolves and continues to grow. It began as a single celled-organism unconsciousness. But through time, it has grown to be a very intellectual being. You and I are part of this continuation.

Consciousness is magical. All memories from the past are retained in this non-physical spot and cannot be erased. Each and every life uses these memories to plan and organize their lives. For instance, insects and animals know what to eat and where to live based on their memories. Human beings use their memories the same way. These memories have brought our planet earth to what it is today.

How consciousness works, no one knows. But what I believe is that memories do not reside in physical bodies. And if they don't have a physical home, then, they forever exist. This is the magical part of our world.

Speaking of consciousness isn't complete without speaking of mind. As mentioned in other post, mind is similar to central processing unit compared to computer. Without mind, consciousness cannot exist - they are, sometimes, used interchangeably. Mind saves new information and updates the old information in this very consciousness. Mind, too, does not have a physical home. Once born, it lives and grows forever. Mind is unique and has its own consciousness (memory storage).

This topic will lead us to explore the concept of reincarnation.

The Four Stages of Human Consciousness

There are 4 stages in any life form -- from micro organism to intellectual human being. When we analyze a plant seed, we understand ourselves (maybe).

See where you fit...

1. Seeding -- premature, ignorant, stupid, no common sense, self-denial: It doesn't matter what you do to this person, he just DOESN'T GET IT. Don't waste your time with this one. I'm sure you'd rather do something productive for yourself and others; but not this one.

2. Budding -- becoming mature, willing to accept, beginning to understand: Given enormous information and time, this form of life will understand the CAUSE but it doesn't know how to reason. With help and guidance, this person will understand you. But don't expect him to reason for himself. He hasn't acquired the ability to do it. Perhaps with time, he will bloom. He will remember and appreciate your help and guidance.

3. Blooming -- intellectual, self-acknowledged: Given little information, this person will understand the CAUSE and know how to REASON. Do share information with this one. He is intelligent enough to accept your comment(s). He is on his way to becoming a GREAT THINKER. You will not be disappointed with this person. You just might learn a thing or two from this person. Please do not avoid this type of people.

4. Blossom -- intuitive, very intellectual, extremely rational: Without any intervention, this person will understand the whole Cosmos in its entirety. This is the person we all should look up to. Just looking into your eyes, he can read your thought. He knows what to say and what not to say. There are only a number of them on earth. Search hard and you will find them. Perhaps, this individual could be you.

Different Types of Consciousness

Life in a nutshell is simply a computer comprised a CPU (Mind) and a memory chip (Consciousness). Life is unique only to itself; and therefore each is totally different from the rest. The reason is simply because not all lives have the same memories and experiences. Their interpreters (mind) are also different. When people say that someone has a mind of her/him self, perhaps they really refer to these differences.

Master Mentalism

If we accept that there are differences among all lives, then we can assume that there must be different types of consciousness. And my assumption is that there are probably five different types of consciousness. Each of them lives independently in its own environment and depends on different kinds of climate and nutrient. These are primitive consciousness, basic consciousness, advanced consciousness, intellectual consciousness, and cosmos consciousness. Perhaps the reader could come up with one and even two more.

Primitive Consciousness
Going back several billion years, we would find that life on earth had begun to take shape. These primitive lives, bacteria, born out of the right condition (water, heat, earth, and oxygen). These guys can survive in any condition - earlier earth was very hostile. Perhaps, this was when memories were beginning to form and consciousness came to exist.

Primitive conscious organisms, similar to other life forms, live among themselves and will harm intruders. Trying to walk in one of these environments, you will immediately feel the effect produced by these conscious organisms. However, there are some that will adapt to the new environment and even transform and adapt themselves through various processes. Primitive consciousness only recognizes its environment and themselves. But they don't have the awareness to know who they are. Their mission is to survive, grow, expand, and exist.

Memories of different kinds were being added and updated to the primitive conscious organism. And after several billion years, they still exist.

Basic Consciousness
Life forms on planet earth have come a long way. born, adapted, and transformed themselves into different kinds depending on the environment and their needs. This long awaited oxygen-producer life forms, algae and plants, are perhaps the most important consciousness we have come to acknowledge. They are the basic keys to give rise to the more advanced and intellectual ones.

When we take a very closer look at these forms of life, we can see that they are very conscientious when it comes to the living environment and the food they consume. Although oxygen-producer organisms do not have the thinking brain that are essentials to more advanced life forms on the planet earth, when threatened, they do know how to fend themselves - such as give off harmful chemicals.

Advanced Consciousness

Advanced consciousness refers to insects and animals who have a thinking brain. The brain is a medium that transmits information between the physical body and the thought. Advanced consciousness use their thinking brain to plan and organize their way of life in order to survive. Memories play a major role in their decision-making.

When we study insects and animals, we see that they are similar to human beings in every aspect - except they have no self-recognition and self-realization. For instance, ants find their ways using chemical senses. Bees using vibration as their way of communication. Other animals use other form of communication such chemical, body language, and sound.

I classify these types of animal beings as advanced consciousness due to the fact that they know how to plan and organize their life. The most important thing about these consciousness is that they care for their families. Each of them behaves according to their hierarchy. Most of them live in group similar to human beings.

The goal for the beings is to survive and expand - nothing more.

Intellectual Consciousness
To qualify as intellectual consciousness, a being must have the ability to not only plan and organize but must also have the ability to transform the formed thought to reality. The intellectual conscious beings must have the ability to reflect on themselves as well as others. They must follow their code of conduct and rely on morality as the way of life.

These description certainly sounds very much like a human being. For the past a couple of million years, humans have logically transformed the surface of the earth - making it the way it is today. Humans, no doubt, are not only very intelligent but also are great problem solvers. It is with this intelligence that human beings are capable to use their memories in both positive and negative ways.

The goal of these beings is to survive, be recognized, and be happy. They will do whatever it takes to achieve these goals.

Cosmos Consciousness
To be considered having cosmos consciousness, one must understand the entire cosmic system - seen and unseen. The cosmos consciousness individual knows that there are more to know than a mere eye can see. He knows, deep in his own thought, there are many realms of existence beyond human realm. According to the Buddhist scripture, the Buddha had attained this power during the 7-day meditation, without food or drinks, under the Bodhi tree.

Cosmos conscious beings understand the law of KAMMA. These beings understand that action is the cause of all creations. The word Kamma simply means action - nothing more.

Some spiritual seekers may become cosmos conscious beings through the practice of meditation. The goal for these conscious beings is to achieve the Nibanna state of mind - Nibanna is the point of no return.

This is a subjective topic. I have briefly described the different types of consciousness based on personal feelings. Readers are encouraged to investigate and use logical judgement to come to conclusion.

To simply believe what we read, hear, and feel without thorough analysis is harmful to the mind. Please do your own research.

Consciousness / The Interpretation

My quest to understand consciousness began many years ago. Not because it was difficult to understand but because it helped me to understand why life behaves and acts the way it does. Something in our subconsciousness must trigger these acts.

Consciousness is the least understood topic by the many scholars. We speak of it all the time as if we know what it is. Many people, including Webster dictionary, define consciousness as 'being aware' or 'having feelings'. However, my understanding of consciousness goes deeper than just the definition described in the dictionary. One cannot speak of consciousness without mentioning the word mind. I feel that these two words can be used interchangeably. However, some people use these two words independently. Perhaps, they can be compared to our body; the body cannot survive without a heart. Likewise, a heart serves no purpose without the body.

Consciousness was probably born at the same time as the mind - many eons in the past. A popular question asked by many for enjoyment, which came first? Chicken or Egg. My answer would be both came at the same time. One could not exist without the other. Consciousness, therefore, can be defined as both memory and storage device. This can be compared to the computer hard drive. As mentioned in the previous post, Mind / The Interpretation, mind is a central processing unit for the self. Mind follows a set of instructions stored in the consciousness. These instructions are as simple as compare and update the information. They are also as complex as anyone can imagine.

To begin, consciousness is a stored memory of information - any information. Information such as sight, sound, taste, taste, feeling, and any information perceived by these senses. What we hear, see, think, feel, do, and imagine are being updated constantly by our mind - similarly to how computer CPU processes its information. These stored memories cannot be deleted but can be updated with the new ones. For instance, when we drive to an unfamiliar place, we store the route that takes us there. Later, if we find a better route, we also store this new route in our conscious mind. And if we know five ways to this particular place, we have five stored memories. Mind is magical. It compares the information being perceived with these stored memories in order to take the next step - old or new. If the information is new, the mind adds it to its storage device.

Now, if we sit calmly figuring out how much memories we have accumulated within this lifetime. We would probably remember about 5% of our past experiences. The other 95%  experiences are still there - not lost ; however, they have been placed in our subconsciousness due to infrequent access. When we are having a deja vu, we actually are accessing the information in our subconscious mind. This information could be coming from the past life.

In this post, I started to briefly describe my understanding about the conscious mind or consciousness and mind. To really understand anything, especially non-physical being, is to dig into ourselves with questions on a continual basis. Libraries, bookstores, and online are great resources for reading. Throughout my life, I have only read three books cover to cover. I mostly skim through other books I have bought; and many are unread - just sitting there collecting dust.

Sometimes I wonder if mind and consciousness are alive - but just unseen. I will continue to explore this phenomenon at a later time.

Mind / The Interpretation

It is difficult to define the word mind. Ask any scholar on the subject matter, they will give you a vague answer - one that is definitely going to confuse you even more. Each scholar will share different thought, opinion, and definition. The reason is because mind has no physical body for examination. Also, the word mind is just a concept.

Mind is a process. Deep at its core, if it has one, is a Life Central Processing Unit (LCPU). The uniqueness of each an every individual life, plant, animal, human is defined and directed by the Mind using the concept of LCPU. The continuation of existence, visibly and invisibly, once existed will always exist until the attachments of the material world cease to exist. Its sole purpose is to recognize its existence and to be recognized as a 'self'.

In my opinion, Mind is a set of instructions programmed since its first birth - perhaps some several billion years ago. It uses these instructions to navigate its way to survive and be recognized. We can think of it as an interpreter; which processes the information stored in the hard drive. For instance, to add and update the information to the hard drive.

Mind is unique and has it's own way of interpreting the information based on how it first came to be based on the environment, society, space, and time. Because mind is non-physical, it can easily be influenced. Imagine if a smoke floating in the air is the mind, if we try to touch it, it will float in relation to our hand.

In short, mind is a processor and a consciousness interpreter. It is unique and has its own way of interpreting the stored information. We will explore the topic of consciousness in the next blog.

As always, before accepting or denying what you have read and taught, please do your own research. I am just a common man and only share what I feel.

Introduction - My Thought

It is never a good idea to start the sentence with 'I Am'. It seems very subjective; but who isn't? I am a possibility seeker and a dweller. I ask questions and seek answers. I am inquisitive with the things around me.

Before I begin series of posts, I want all readers to know that I love life and I treat it as myself. This can be any form of life - seen and unseen. My motto is 'Love Others As Yourself And Who Can You Hurt?' My subjective mind is not intended to shun visitors; but to engage in the conversation and the dialogue.

This blog will focus on variety of topics - but mainly on life - how it came to be.

Please feel free to comment my posts. I love to hear what you have to share. I do accept your open-minded opinions on the subject matter.
